1. Information we collect
Account details (name, email, mobile number, password), profile and, for drivers, verification documents; trip data (pickup/drop-off locations, routes, fares); device and usage information; and payment information processed by our payment partner.
2. How we use your information
To create and secure your account; verify your phone and email; match riders with drivers; process payments; send verification codes and trip notifications; provide support; prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS & email
We send verification codes and transactional messages as described in our SMS & Messaging Policy. We do not sell your phone number, and SMS consent is never shared with third parties for marketing.
4. Location data
With your permission, we collect location data to enable pickups, routing, live tracking, and fare calculation. You can control location permissions in your device settings.
5. Service providers
We share limited data with providers who help operate the service, including Stripe (payments and identity verification), Twilio (SMS and call masking), Cloudinary (image storage), and Firebase/Google (push notifications and sign-in). They process data only on our behalf.
6. Data sharing between riders and drivers
To complete a trip, limited details (first name, pickup/drop-off, vehicle) are shared between the matched rider and driver. Phone numbers are masked; calls are connected through a relay so neither party sees the other's real number.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. You may request account deletion.
8. Your choices
You can access or update your profile in the app, opt out of SMS by replying STOP, manage location and notification permissions, and request deletion of your account via our Delete Account page.
9. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and other safeguards to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Children
Ridelynk is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
